
This marks year seven of bringing the biggest collection of creatives, fandoms and like minded people together to celebrate culture and we brought the fun to our biggest venue yet, George R. Brown Convention center in Houston.
As the Art Director, I lead my team to make sure that Dream Con looks its best in every space that you interact with the brand. Online, social media, with our partners and all throughout the event in person, my team created a fun, energetic visual identity that makes sure you feel invited and accepted.
The Con has grown from 900 attendees in year one to over 33,000 attendees. With the bigger space, we needed a bigger team of designers. We brought on three more graphic designers and one additional web designer to round out our team of eight and achieve our goal of creating the best activations and branding possible for our attendees.
We built community through shared interests and belonging, where visual identity shapes the movement and fosters family through socials, web, merch and app presences.
I’m thankful that the creators of Dream Con trusted me 7 years ago with visually building the Dream Con brand and am so proud of how far we’ve come.
